As of today (March 9), the district has not needed to make use of the 4 snow days incorporated into the district calendar. Unused snow days will be used as vacation days according to the following plan:
The four unused snow days of 2010 will be used as student and faculty days off as follows providing we don't need snow days prior to their dates:
Friday, March 26th
Friday, April 23rd
Friday, May 21st
Friday, May 28th
Should we use any or all of these snow days prior to these dates, we will adjust this schedule accordingly.
As these dates approach, check this website
for verification of these unschedule vacation days.

The Saranac Lake Central School District will be using a six-day schedule (A-day, B-day, C-day, D-day, E-day, F-day) in all schools instead of a Monday-Friday schedule. A student’s schedule will indicate on which day a class takes place. All district schools will be on the same day. For example, school starts on Wednesday, September 2nd which will be an “A-day" in all Saranac Lake Central School District schools. If a day is missed unexpectedly, such as for a snow day, all schools will go on to the next letter day when the students return to school. For example, if we have a snow day on an “A” day, and the students return to school the next day, that day will remain a “B” day as it was originally scheduled." |
